It may look orangey but this cargo is 100% green! #lovemycargobike #triobike : For everyone that mentioned squirrel issues in my last post: the friendly farmers at my local market @marchejeantalon taught me a trick a few years ago, a plant called ‘Garden Rue’ is very effective for keeping squirrels away. Only this year, husband accidentally mowed ours over 🙄 ... twice 🙄🙄... and the plants remained too small to be effective... hence all the squirrel drama this year 🙄 ... The self-adopted squirrel members of our family kept eating the garden carrots... lucky for us, they moved on to the pears and plums as soon as those started to ripen 🙄 ... so my six-year-old finally did manage to grow some carrots...here is the first and last carrot harvest from last week! Less than a year ago, my then 10-year-old told me to listen to “this girl named Greta” and we’ve been cheering her on ever since. But I felt like a great big hypocrite today as we hopped on the bus to go join the #globalclimatestrike while husband hopped on a plane, off he went on a business trip in the name of “eternal economic growth”. No matter how many small changes I make, big changes are required by our leaders. We passed laws to abolish slavery, we passed laws to give women the right to vote... now we need laws to combat climate change.
