The heart wants what it wants.
The latest issue of The Supper Club magazine is titled “Guilty Pleasures”. It includes my recipe for Raspberry Limoncello Ice Cream as ice cream has always been one of my guilty pleasures. Along with it, you’ll find my story titled “Matters of the Heart” about an unlikely connection with a gelato vendor in Basel, Switzerland.
Below is an excerpt from “Matters of the Heart”:
… Once in awhile, our eyes met in the rear-view mirror but mostly we remained hidden to each other and in this comfort somehow we delved into matters of the heart and I had no difficulty detailing the state of disorder that was my heart at the time— the slew of exes, the widening rift between my parents and I caused by each arranged marriage proposal I turned down, and an overall confusion about what love should feel like. There was a blend of wisdom and reassurance in his Italian-accented voice as he remarked, “Don’t worry, even when we don’t, the heart always knows what it wants.” …
Your link is not working, how do I get this recipe, looks delish!

I would so love a bowl of this tonight…. a dark Vermont night with sprinkles of hail.
Oh no, I hope the hail passed without any major problems. It’s always nice to have ice cream conveniently available!
